My little Jovi world. If you talk to many different people about Bon Jovi and why they are loved you will get different answers all the time. Mine like so many is that they are through music an important part of my life. The things I was doing when I heard or the place I was at when I first heard or most important how their music helped me through....

Jon Bon Jovi is NOT DEAD: Internet hoax all talk, no action
December 26, 2011

This arrived in our email box today:
I’M SORRY I STARTED RUMORS OF JON BON JOVI’S DEATH
On December 19th, rumors abounded on Twitter and Facebook about the Bon Jovi frontman’s sudden death from cardiac arrest. Bon Jovi debunked the false news with good humor, posting a photo on his Facebook page that read: “Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey” with the day’s date. The photo was captioned, “Rest assured that Jon is alive and well!”
On the paper he's holding, "Heaven Looks a lot like New Jersey. dec 19 2011 6:00"
Philadelphia native, Jeffrey Goho, took responsibility for the hoax, saying the rumor rapidly spread across major social networking and microblogging platforms, originating from his [Bon Jovi's] appearance in an Advil commercial to his supposed demise. Mr. Goho apparently had enough of the singer/songwriter’s business endeavors in the tri-state area stating that he “felt as if Jon Bon Jovi had lost site of the true reason he became a household name… his musical contributions.”
Recent reports from Philadelphia Soul Team President, Ron Jaworski, state that Mr. Goho wrote a formal apology to minority owner, Richie Sambora, in an effort to reach Jon Bon Jovi himself. Mr. Goho, lead singer of the Philadelphia-based hard rock group, MINUTIA, was quoted, “I never thought the rumors would spread so rapidly.” Mr. Goho also states, “I am truly sorry for any and all damage that I may have caused Jon and his family. Furthermore, I can only hope that he continues to bring prosperity to the Philadelphia region and surrounding areas.”

Bon Jovi Dead Rumors Can Die As Smiling Rocker is Spotted On Vacation
Bon Jovi Dead Rumors Can Die As Smiling Rocker is Spotted On Vacation
December 24, 2011 10:35 AM EST
"Bon Jovi dead" rumors have been flying around the internet since early this week, but the singer is definitely not dead -- even though the rumors are still persisting.
Bon Jovi was the latest celebrity to be the victim of a death hoax that just wouldn't die. Despite efforts by the singer to show fans he is alive, his alleged death was still popular with internet searchers.
Proving once again that he is in fact alive and not dead, Bon Jovi was photographed in St. Bart's on Friday, smiling and looking not the least bit bothered by anything.
The blonde haired rocker was spotted doing some last-minute Christmas shopping around the island. Dressed in a casual outfit, he stopped in a jewelry store before boarding a boat.
It looked like he may be heading for a yacht as the crew on the small boat seemed dressed for yachting.
Luckily, Bon Jovi can take off and relax for the Christmas holiday. Surely, he's going to stay somewhere with limited paparazzi and a lot of R&R.

DMN Newswire--2011-12-20--Bon Jovi lead guitarist and producer, singer/songwriter Richie Sambora is recording his third solo album at Ocean Way Recording in Hollywood. Luke Ebbin, producer of the Bon Jovi albums "Crush" and "Bounce," is helming the new project.
"Richie and I have worked on and off together for years," explained Ebbin. "Richie came off the Bon Jovi tour energized and we got together to write a couple of songs. The results were very good, so we kept writing more and decided to go in and record them.
"The recordings came out great, so Richie decided why not make this a solo record? There are eight songs in the can now, including a co-write with Bernie Taupin. We've started round two of sessions and hope to have a full album done by early spring."

I find this forum a big help. It lets me talk to other MS patients and we as a community find ways to talk about our disease but more importantly it is a place where I can just let it all out. Yell, Scream moan and complain and you know why? Because each of the people there have gone through similar reactions and we help each other out.

Joe Dimagio Children's Hospital
And Richie keeps on giving back. Looks like he visited a Children's hospital while in Florida. Out of respect for the kids and families of the patients there I am only posting a few pictures. There are a ton of them floating around the web though.
Bon Jovi’s Richie Sambora keeps rocking
Richie Sambora had a lot to be thankful for on Thanksgiving. After more than 30 years in the rock ’n’ roll business, the Bon Jovi guitarist is still grinding away, working on another solo effort and teaming up with band mate and longtime friend Jon Bon Jovi for a new album.
That’s why he tries to give back.
Sambora, 52, will team up with legendary singer/songwriter Richie Supa to host the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County 13th Annual “Bikers Bash” at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Dec. 9.
“I’m the kind of guy who always tries to aim at helping children,’’ says Sambora from Los Angeles. “Every time I get involved in charities it’s to help kids, whether they’re abusing drugs or runaways, or in trouble somehow.’’
He thinks charity work gives him a better perspective on life.
“You see these kids in danger,’’ he says, remembering a trip to Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital. “I realize how blessed I am to have a healthy child. Knock on wood.’’
Daughter Ava — with ex wife Heather Locklear — is now 14. The two are headed to Hawaii together for the holidays.
“It’s so remote is what I like about it. I’m a beach guy.’’
But that doesn’t mean the New Jersey native can stay still for long (“10 days of vacation and I’m good’’). Though touring can be tough, at least Bon Jovi isn’t on a bus.
“It’s nice to be off the road for a change. We figured out a while ago that we get around the world a lot quicker on private planes. Our last tour lasted 18 months, flying virtually every day,’’ he says. “We did 50 countries. Not cities. I mean, if you ask someone to name 50 countries, I think they’d be hard pressed!’’
Sambora loves the traveling part of the job.
“Being in America isn’t old-hat — it’s where we’re from —but I get excited to be in other parts of the world like Athens and Croatia, which were quite cool,’’ says Sambora. “I’m a sightseer. I go see the sights and museums. I’m into that kind of thing.’’
Another thing that never gets old: Seeing the Bon Jovi faithful come out en masse.
“Rock and roll is a contact sport,’’ he says. “I enjoy playing the tunes that really get the people going.’’
Audiences still go crazy when they jam classics like Wanted Dead or Alive, It’s My Life and Living on a Prayer.
Give the people what they want is the group’s motto.
“I’m always asked, ‘Does it ever get old?’ Well, I tell you what: It’s like having sex with 70,000 people at a time. If you ask me, Do I go back to my hotel room by myself and play Living on a Prayer, no. But I’ll probably pull it out if someone’s going to enjoy it.’’
When Sambora isn’t traveling the globe or making music he works on a women’s fashion line called Nikki Rich, formerly White Trash Beautiful. “Fashion and music go together,’’ says Sambora of the clothes that he calls “sexy and chic.’’
Life’s good for the music man who is dating actress Denise Richards.
“I’m a lucky guy. I don’t take for granted for one minute what I do.’’

Bon Jovi say no Moscow gig planned
Bon Jovi rock band
US rock band Bon Jovi have disappointed their Russian fans saying that all reports about an upcoming concert in April 2012 are false.
Several websites had already started selling tickets for the concert, which was supposedly to take place at the Olimpiysky Arena, with prices ranging from $100 to $500.
Last week, a fake press release announcing Bon Jovi's only concert in the capital surfaced in media reports.
The American rockers have been performing for almost three decades, but have still never performed a full concert in Russia.
Back in 1989, Bon Jovi Gave Love a Bad Name with a striptease at Moscow’s Peace Festival. After seeing the stony faces in the audience, Jon decided to liven up the proceedings by borrowing a soldier’s uniform (he apparently gave his jeans in return).
His saucy performance has meant fans have Kept the Faith ever since, awaiting the band’s return.
Bamboozle returns to Asbury Park Asbury Park again to play host to music festival that began in 2003
ASBURY PARK — The Bamboozle Festival, which has grown into a music institution since its inception in 2003, will return to its birth city here in May with rocker Jon Bon Jovi headlining the three-day event.
John D’Esposito, Live Nation talent buyer and founder of the Bamboozle, said Monday that it was time to return here, and the City Council last Friday agreed to sign an agreement for the 10th annual festival to be held on the city’s waterfront May 18, 19 and 20.
The event began in Asbury Park, but by 2006 moved to the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford.
So far, Bon Jovi, one of the top-touring acts in the music business, and the festival’s other headliners, California pop-punkers Blink-182 and the Foo Fighters, a top-selling rock band formed in 1994 by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, have been announced as performing.
Details about some 100 additional musical performers, who could draw an estimated 40,000 people a day over three days, will be forthcoming, D’Esposito said.
The Bamboozle has grown since starting out as a jam band weekend in 2003 at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park. There have been a stadium-size California Bamboozle and a traveling edition called the Bamboozle Roadshow.
All along, D’Esposito has had the foresight to merge rock acts like Fall Out Boy with hip-hop stars like Snoop Dogg, along with comedy acts, games and established artists, like Boyz II Men, for an eclectic event that has stayed relevant to today’s fans.
“He's definitely molded an event with cutting-edge new acts that fits its changing tastes within the music industry, and he takes the old and makes it new again,” said Scott Stamper, the owner of The Saint nightclub on Main Street here. “It's a fresh approach, and he’s stuck to his guns. He’s changed the thinking of how to produce a music festival.”
D’Esposito said the designated area for the festival — Bradley Park, Convention Hall Complex, parts of Ocean Avenue, the boardwalk and oceanfront land from Convention Hall north to Deal Lake —will “serve as a remarkable site.”
He said that when he switched the site from the first years at The Stone Pony and then one year at Convention Hall to the Meadowlands in 2006, it was because the festival had outgrown the capacity of what was available in Asbury Park at that time.
Yet during the past three years, D’Espositio said, he has learned that “a festival site makes a festival,” and at the Meadowlands, the Bamboozle was in a parking lot.
“Now I believe the political and development climate in Asbury is stable and supportive to help us bring the event back to where it began and look to expand it as an annual tradition in a historical and musical town,” D’Esposito said.
“We’re incredibly excited and think this is a testimony to how far the city has come and how well the waterfront developers and the city are going to be able to work together,” said Anselm Fusco, a vice president with Madison Marquette, which owns many of the beachfront buildings and played a role in the negotiations between the city and Bamboozle.
Asbury Park will get a guarantee of $200,000 for the use of the city beach and portion of the waterfront that belongs to the city, City Manager Terence Reidy said.
The city also will share in the ticket sales, getting a fee when sales go over certain thresholds and bonuses if they reach certain numbers. The city will get the $200,000 and an estimated $160,000 for costs of police, fire, emergency medical technicians and public works 10 days before the festival.
“The city is on a path for financial independence and part of it is owning what we offer the world,” Reidy said.
The festival promoter at this time is offering only three-day ticket packages, which go on sale 10 a.m. Saturday for $190 plus applicable fees. For more ticket information, visit www.thebamboozle.com.

Without ex-galpal/new galpal Denise Richards in sight, Sambora mingled with some of the 750-plus at the charity Bikers Bash at Hard Rock Live Friday night at the Seminole Hard Rock Resort in Hollywood. He then hopped on stage for an acoustic guitar concert.
Sambora was accompanied by legendary guitarist/songwriter Richie Supa while, on the floor of the concert venue, folks raised $200,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.
On Sunday, more than 30,000 motorcyclists bearing Christmas gifts rode through the county to Sunrise‘s Markham Park in the Toys in the Sun Run. There were enough gifts to fill up several truck-loads. The toys will be distributed to the children of Broward families who couldn’t otherwise afford it.

New Year’s Eve Movie Review
Posted on December 11, 2011 by Valentina
With an all-star cast including Robert De Niro, Ashton Kutcher, Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry, Jon Bon Jovi, Sofia Vergara, Katherine Heigl and more, it was no surprise to me that “New Year’s Eve” was a great movie. Then again, I’m a sucker for a good chick flick, so there’s that too.
If you’re a fan of movies with intertwining story lines, such as “Parenthood” (1989), ”Love, Actually” (2003), “He’s Just Not That Into You” (2009), or “Valentine’s Day” (2010), then you will probably enjoy “New Year’s Eve” as well. I found that the movie itself wasn’t as interwoven as some of the others I mentioned, where it seemed like the characters and their respective plot lines came in a full circle, but it was satisfying nevertheless.
It tells the story of several different characters, centered around New Year’s Eve 2011 in New York City. The highlight of the movie, for me, was Zac Efron and Michelle Pfeiffer, as the enthusiastic young 20-something (who wants to get the tickets for the hottest party in town) and the 40- or 50-something woman who has an epiphany (or breaks down, depending on how you look at it) and makes a deal to give him the tickets he is looking for in exchange for helping her cross off items on her bucket list.
The rest of the stories are all very standard chick-flick-kind-of-plots, which means they are nothing that you would be surprised by, but all of them trying to make you cry, especially Halle Berry’s overseas husband. The only plot line that I think could easily make viewers misty was Robert De Niro’s sad tale of a dying man who just wants to make it to midnight.
“New Year’s Eve” is a sweet movie and definitely not a waste of money — just don’t go expecting an Oscar-worthy performance and say I didn’t warn you!

Jon Bon Jovi Reveals His True Advil(R) Story
National Advertising Campaign from Pfizer Consumer Healthcare Shares Stories of Pain and Relief
MADISON, N.J., Dec 08, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Jon Bon Jovi's schedule is packed - on any given day he's performing sold-out stadium shows, staying fit with daily runs, spending time with his family and giving back through the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation. One thing that's not on his schedule is pain. The artist gives a glimpse into his life in a new advertisement for Advil(R). The TV ad was shot in Red Bank, New Jersey, at the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen, a community kitchen that recently opened as an initiative of the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation.
Last year, Jon injured his calf muscle on stage while entertaining a hometown crowd in New Jersey. He later revealed in an interview that he relies on Advil(R) to get through the inevitable aches and pains that come with touring, setting the stage for his true Advil(R) story. In the advertisement, which breaks December 9, Jon joins other real Advil(R) users who have told their stories of pain and relief in Advil's(R) current testimonial-style campaign. The ads show that no matter who you are or what you do, pain disrupts busy lives. All of the stories can be viewed at TakeAdvil(R).com.
"Pain does not have much of a place in my life. I checked the schedule and it's not on it. You never know when Advil(R) is needed," said Jon Bon Jovi.
Jon Bon Jovi's Advil(R) testimonial highlights the man behind the music. Vignettes in the :30 second commercial and additional digital content include Jon backstage and on the road, as well as sitting down at the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen, which offers nutritious meals to those in need.
The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen in Red Bank, NJ, a program of the Soul Foundation, is dedicated to strengthening the community by serving nutritious meals to all, regardless of their income. Diners at the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen order from a menu with no prices listed. Those who cannot afford to pay can volunteer. Those who can pay the suggested donation are encouraged to give a little more. The kitchen, built in an old auto-body shop, opened in October. Both the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen and the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation work towards the goal of breaking the cycle of poverty and homelessness. Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, makers of Advil(R), supports the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation's work, and through this sponsorship has donated to its initiatives.
"Our Advil(R) Stories campaign emphasizes that everyone experiences physical pain for some reason in their lives, no matter who they are. And when pain tries to disrupt lives, millions of people trust Advil(R), not just for relief, but to help them continue to do what they love," said Srini Sripada, Senior Director, Pain Management, Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. "We know that Advil(R) consumers are our greatest ambassadors and that pain is something we all share. We are excited to showcase the true stories from pain sufferers who are finding relief with Advil(R), and we are thrilled that Jon is sharing his story with America. We applaud him for the work his foundation is doing every day."
The Advil(R) Stories campaign launched last year, and in October of this year Regis and Joy Philbin debuted their true Advil(R) story. To see all of the Advil(R) stories, visit TakeAdvil.com.

Bon Jovi to play Olympiski Arena Moscow April 14, 2012
When Soviet audiences failed to react to Bon Jovi’s music, Jon saved a flailing festival with an improvised striptease by borrowing a soldier’s uniform. Now fans are Livin’ on a Prayer as the band prepares to return with its first solo gig in Moscow.
The American rockers have been on stage for almost three decades, but have still never performed a full solo concert in Russia.
His saucy performance has meant fans have Kept the Faith since, awaiting the band’s return.
The rockers will hit the capital’s Olympiisky Arena on April 14 next year. The band will play their best hits alongside new material, due to be released on their new album in 2013.

Fashion
It's a slow day for Bon Jovi news when all I could find new was a Vogue piece on Jon Bon Jovi clothing style. Did not like the article or their suggestions so not going to post it. Instead you get to read my rambles.
I read a blog that was asking What does Bon Jovi (music) mean to you? A lot of the responses were on how their music talked to them or helped them through some tough time or was their prom song (Never Say Goodbye) Or their Wedding song (All About Loving You) or so on.
For me it is (was) a Richie Sambora piece The Answer. Helped me through a really rough bump in the road When I was diagnosed with MS and then again some 2 years later when another bump in the road hit me hard (mother dying) and finally over an breakup (Why do we cry over that? He moved to Madrid did not die....) but anyway I am going off track. I played that song over and over again crying and crying could not hear the song with out crying. It helped. Helped put things into perspective helped get through the pain (a few pains) (No not PITAS) just pain..... Yiesh!!!!
Helped remind me that their are guides to help us pass. (I Forget now and again I have a couple of Guardian Angels who help me.) Helped me know that things are going to be ok over the break up or the MS or what ever.... So Yes I fully agree that Bon Jovi/ Richie Sambora Music does mean something to each of their fans. I dont remember the quote exactly but I think you will recall it.... Their music helps weave the fabric of our lives. Now I was paraphrasing their quote but I know that the idea will come across and the true quote will be remembered.
Well by now I am sure you are hoping for a good news day tomorrow from the boys from Jersey so you do not have to read this kind of thing again.... hahaha
